About St. Matthew's Episcopal Church

Whether you are from another Christian tradition and are searching for a new church home, are new to Houma and seeking an Episcopal Church, or maybe just wanting to explore the Christian faith for the first time, we invite you to join us in worship and fellowship.

Our Sunday worship service begins at 10 AM. We have adapted our service to include all the necessary precautions against COVID. This includes distancing, wearing masks, and omission of hymn singing. For those not comfortable attending in person, we stream the service on Facebook Live.

If you have children, we are ready to receive them. Sunday school classes run concurrent with the first half of our worship. The children then come and join their parents for the celebration of Holy Communion. If you’d prefer to keep them with you for the entire service, you are more than welcome to! We are all growing and learning, and often in awe, as we see new friendships and new ministries developing as we continue to live into the Lord’s mission for St. Matthew’s. We would love for you to consider whether He might be calling you to be a part of all He has in store.
